Four locations – three countries – two languages – one network: the INFOBESTs are the first point of contact for cross-border questions concerning Germany, France and Switzerland.
Are you thinking about moving to the other side of the Rhine and would like some information? Have you received a letter from an authority in the neighbouring country that you do not understand? INFOBEST will be happy to help you with all of these questions!
The INFOBEST network consists of four public information and advice centres on the Upper Rhine, located in PALMRAIN (Village-Neuf), Vogelgrun/Breisach (Île du Rhin), Kehl/Strasbourg and PAMINA (Lauterbourg). For three decades, the INFOBESTs have been promoting and facilitating cross-border life in the German-French-Swiss Upper Rhine region.
RegioTriRhena supports and accompanies the INFOBEST centres
Together with many other German, Swiss and French sponsors, RegioTriRhena helps to finance the INFOBEST centres Palmrain and Vogelgrun/Breisach.
Our vice-president Daniel Adrian has been president of INFOBEST Palmrain in Village-Neuf since 2021.
Dorothea Störr-Ritter, District Administrator of the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and member of RegioTriRhena, is president of INFOBEST Vogelgrun/Breisach.
The bilingual staff of the INFOBESTs provide free information and advice to citizens, associations, companies, administrations and political stakeholders throughout the Upper Rhine region on a wide range of cross-border questions in the border triangle. INFOBEST helps to overcome language barriers and provides support when dealing with authorities in the other country.
The INFOBEST network also acts as a link between the administrations of the three countries, promoting exchange and cross-border cooperation between them. It identifies gaps and incompatibilities in regulations and helps to find solutions.

INFOBEST PALMRAIN was founded in 1993 and is the only tri-national INFOBEST and the only one that can answer questions about Switzerland. It is located in a former French customs building in the border triangle of France, Germany and Switzerland.

INFOBEST Vogelgrun/Breisach celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021 – in that year the advice centre moved into its new offices in the building of the German-French cultural centre Art’Rhena on the Rhine island (www.artrhena.eu).
